Energy Audit & Building Performance Analysis

Sean Jeffords Energy AuditBuilding homes has been an ever evolving experience. Before the industrial revolution, wood fires provided what little heat residents enjoyed inside their buildings.

A little over 100 years ago, things began to change. In the early 1880's Thomas Edison invented the incandescent light and built the worlds first power station. By 1908 8% of American homes had electricity, and by 1925 that number reached 53%.

In 1930 natural gas began to compete with wood and coal as a heating fuel. Today we live in almost complete dependence of gas and oil to provide everything we need to survive.

Back when fossil fuels were discovered there seemed to be no end in sight for this abundant resource. Less than 100 years later we now realize that this is not the case. Unfortunately, we have all been born into this infrastructure that requires fossil fuels as part of our survival. With some of the largest supplies of oil in the world reaching their peak, and our environment beginning to show signs of compromise, we have no choice but to start rebuilding a new way of life where fossil fuels are the exception not the rule.

The Good News is, we as humans are very good at adapting to changing environments, and with all the great technologies available today, I have complete confidence we will rise to this occasion, and defeat these seemingly overwhelming problems. Every great revolution we have had in history has come from the bottom up. Lets not wait for our government to make these choices for us, we have the power!

The intent of our Energy Audits & Building Performance Analyses is to determine the areas of your home that could be improved upon in order to; save on energy costs, increase overall comfort, improve the durability of your home, and lessen your homes impact on the environment. Our final reports are both educational and constructive regarding your home's operation and possible solutions for improved comfort and energy efficiency. If you have any questions, or would like additional information, please call to schedule a time to speak to us in person or by phone.

“Cost Benefit Analysis”

cost benefit analysis

When calculating the return on investment, more than the savings on the energy expenses should be considered.

Traditionally the “cost benefit analysis” will analyze only the amount of return on investment in dollars and cents.

In order to have an accurate analysis, the items listed below need to be included.

A true “cost benefit analysis” can be generated upon customer request.

Environmental impacts

The savings”

We estimate this remediation will reduce your energy loads by at least 2/3.  With the addition of alternative energy you could be close to a net zero depending on your living style.
